Tough love...don't accept excuses from yourself. Yes, tired is an excuse. Believe me, I understand pure exhaustion and being tired as well as anyone but I still make my goals a top priority. So, I'm not expecting from others what I don't also expect from myself. Treat your goals like you treat your hygiene...whether you feel like it or not, you shower and brush your teeth because hygiene is a priority (I hope)...so, you see, it's not about whether you feel like it, it's all about priorities. Check yourself. Are you making excuses? Make yourself and your goals a priority. You can't be there for others if you aren't first there for yourself. Hard hitting case in point: my mom poured out her life for everyone else but herself...she was at the bottom of her own totem pole carrying the weight of everything and everyone else...I can't help but wonder if she'd still be here today had she placed herself more at the top in order to better take care of herself, and made her wellness goals a top priority to be healthier. Where do you fall on your totem pole? Don't leave yourself at the bottom or you will eventually succumb to the weight of it all. Reposition yourself accordingly, don't take excuses from yourself, and make yourself and your goals a top priority because YOU are important!
